Bangalore
mornings are on most days worth waking up to. I was out for my run at about 6am
and the rays of the early morning sun pierced through a blanket of light fog. The wind was strong on my face and the green around was happy. Sleepy faces walking, jogging and running but most smiled as we crossed one another. The ground had a group of people with their mats laid out and doing
yoga. I was not aware about the yoga day though.
Later
in the morning I was at the bus stop heading for work. The kids were there to
catch their school bus and they were carrying mats too. Then the little girl
told me it was yoga day. (Yeah. Ignorant me!) Usually on getting on to the bus,
I spend about 10 minutes browsing on my phone – then I knew it was yoga day for
sure. Thanks to the memes and trolls.

It
was a pleasant morning in the bus to watch all the kids and their parents
waiting for their school bus with different colors of yoga mat. The
innocence and the color of childhood was just getting to me. So lovely.
From
a little distance I could see him on the roadside. He was urinating in the
open. No, there were no trees or bushes. It was an open space. They were there
too – a group of small girls with their yoga mats in white pinafores waiting
for their bus. My bus to came to a halt at that stop for pick up. I noticed the
man turn his head during ‘his’ process and his eyes met these girls standing in
a little circle. He gave a nasty expression at them. Then he turned and
flashed. My bus started moving and I saw the girls cringe. It was fairly
crowded and there were men and women around – a fairly busy bus stop. I'm sure the kids enjoyed their yoga day.
I
reached work. Did my work. Caught my bus back. Reached home. Worked on my
painting with music. That was yoga day.
When
I went to bed that night, after a day of trying to put behind certain scenes
and fight my helplessness, I managed to wet my pillow.
Hope
you all had a good yoga day. And of course have a great Sunday!
