JAANU...

Pops and momma told their ammun – ‘you gona get  someone to play with soon’ ; Ammun declared – ‘aah.. am sure it will be a baby gal’ I still remember that day vaguely… I fell in love with that moment… The thought of having someone who would be all mine… The thought of walking in front of my friends who already had siblings… The thought of having someone to share my room with… The thought of having a friend at home itself! I was just 4 then. Mumma always pucking and tired. Pops trying to strike a balance between home and work. Ammun taking care of mumma in her little ways and waiting with so much excitement for the little one to arrive. I so clearly remember 23 December 1996… When pops came out the hospital running to tell me that ‘yes, it’s a baby gal’. I still feel how restless I got with excitement. I was not allowed inside the hospital coz I was too young *humph*… but of course I had to become a heroine and after a lot of drama found my way to meet her. Now t...

She knows...

She knew it from then, that it would be someone else who will own it ; She saw her tomorrows without him, but still hoping that some magic will work. She held on to the memories so tight, tried not to miss a single piece from amid ; She yearns to be near, she yearns to speak but where to go for the strength. With a throbbing heart and mind, with so much love that got her blind, tears from deep within and at times she cries ; He says ‘I like somebody’ and she tells herself ‘It’s me’. At times she wonders how long she can survive, will her tomorrows be so bright? Or will it all be a mask that others will see? If only you saw… or you chose to see.. She will soothe others with one big lie, but her tears will keep flowing ; It happens to most only once, and that ‘once’ has happened even without her knowledge; She knows – tomorrow she will walk alone.

STILL DYING TO BELIEVE THAT IT WAS A RUMOUR

There was absolutely no reason for any of us to believe that September 11, 2001 would be different from any other day until two resolute terrorists brought down the two striking skyscrapers and snapped the spine of the big nation, USA. Terrorists strap bombs to their bodies and press the trigger and kill officials or they use their guns on innocent. But who thought that they would hijack an aircraft and plunge into the landmark buildings of New York?! The images of the World Trade Centre transforming into crumbling smokestacks seem so inconceivable even after eleven years.   As a girl of merely 10 years of age then, I stood staring at the television not knowing how such a thing could even occur. There it was – two structures that always fascinated her were now nothing more than ashes. I believed that those were permanent and nothing big enough existed that could bring it down. But today I know that it takes no time for something that seems to be permanent to leave a void...

My dear APPLE

APPLE is celebrating its victory against the Samsung group and getting all set to launch their new product. My dear APPLE So are you done celebrating your victory? Oh and are you done counting the coins :P ? Samsung surely got a blow with the court decision of $1.05 billion but does that mean you won the case against android? Apple, I believe that it was a sad day for you too.Taking the path of litigation is something that companies which are out of sync with the market do - Not cool for your stature. Yes, it protects your assets and IP but still it just made you look like a bully at least to few people. I know this might upset a lot of people, but let me make one thing clear – I love apple - All that it does and has done. I believe that the kind of revolution that this brand has brought about is just insane! *bows head in respect for Steve Jobs* Instead of out innovating everyone else, as you always have, you have now signaled to the world that probably you are ...

Me and Amdavad

Well, going to office is sure not the best thing that can happen every morning but sadly I am left with no choice. On my way, I cross the C.G.Road, one of the most happening streets of Ahmedabad. The many pigeons lined up on the street lights on the median and the few flying around bring this smile on my face every single day. To be in a city where culture and tradition is so blended in the society… where most of the people enjoy street khana than fast food on a regular basis.. Where the locals believe in enjoying every moment with their family.. Where the main roads become picnic spots for friends and families late in the night.. And most important - where professions related to ‘architecture’, ‘design’ etc. is not something that would bring any sort of expression change on the listener! Yes – I guess this is exactly what I wanted during my internship – a blend of city life, traditional touch and of course professional architecture! There are certain things that I found...
So before I roll, I'd better think twice. Here's my dilemma, I love him, do I take the chance? Should I  go for it, and just hope that I won't be let down? Or maybe I  should keep waiting with a spec of hope. coz if i make a move, I'm just afraid he'll say "nope"... Well nobody can decide but me , what must I do? Guess we'll find out, but right now i have no clue.

Same for all....

At times when I’m angry, I wish I wasn’t here, I just wish I could chase away, all of my fears. At times I just want to die, Or wish I was never born, Because of the pain, the tears and scorn. At times when I’m happy, Which is pretty rare these days, My happiness chases the sorrows, but to some delay. For some unknown reason, It takes a while to smile, Maybe it is the discontent, distress and denial. But at times The pain is chased away, By the ones who will stay forever.
