let her Spin with a Grin!

The sight of a board that says "Waiting Room" mostly gives me a headache. Does that happen to you?
The long lines at the billing counter, a delayed slot at the doctor's appointment, the wait for your order in a restaurant (the worst kind) and what not. 

Well, for that matter, when I was in labor, the duty doctor told me to hold a bit as she wanted me to "wait for my doctor". Neil was born five minutes later !<Yes, thankfully my doc made it too>
So yea, waiting is always tough!

I'm sure majority of us felt all this and yet, now we are all waiting.

Some to cross borders and meet their loved ones ;
Some to get started with that job that they were supposed to join;
Some to write those exams once and for all and get done with it; 
Some to exit life situations that they now realize is no more than a suffocating hole;
Some to finally start doing that thing they've been putting off forever;
And all of us to just be able to step out for some grocery or dinner without that pang of doubt;
And all of us to just tightly hug your loved ones and breathe freely. 

While we struggle with respiratory illnesses, the Earth is breathing better than it has in a very long time. I can now understand with more clarity how hard that wait would have been. 

"Hey Earth! Keep spinning and taking in as much as fresh air as you can - because you never know - this is a pause we've taken and I know you wish we do better in the days to come. But who knows with mankind."

We've got front row seats to our own fragility. 
We need to wait. We need to alter.



We are waiting too. Meanwhile letting him know that all we have is worth immense gratitude and the little we can see from our window is truly a lot.

    Happened to read your post - didn’t know you blogged. Well now I know. I loved your statement “front row seats to our own fragility”. I cannot agree more. Coming out of this pandemic I hope there is an increased appreciation of the basic things in life like food, water, air, human connection, creativity and a motivation to protect those very things that makes up life.
    Keep writing.

Motion in Emotion - It is for a reason

Over the years, I have observed that doing extraordinary things is sometimes a little easier than doing the ordinary and necessary. We often deliver projects well or achieve more than our target for the month but would not have managed to make our bed, cook our meal or take a walk. my idea of Magical Acting Moments

When someone came up with  a list of  '50+ things only a Proud Mallu will understand', the first on list was a photo of Mohanlal with the caption - 'This man is part of your daily life. Literally!’ That says it all. Even after a series of uninspiring movies, how his brilliance on screen continues to leave so many in admiration.  So this particular post will cater to a smaller group.
